The interior of KISSA — a long pale oak counter, plaster walls and soft daylight

Fitzroy, Melbourne · A fictional concept

A quieter kind of coffee.

Thoughtfully sourced coffee, considered details, and a little room to slow down.

Not a real business — a Borazzo Studio portfolio concept.

Our philosophy

Less noise. More intention.

KISSA began with a simple question: what if coffee was treated less like a habit and more like a ritual?

So we built the room around the making of it. A single bar, one grinder, and enough space around each cup for the process to be the point.

Craft & ingredients

Made the long way, on purpose.

Weighed, not guessed

Every dose is weighed and every cup is timed. It is the least romantic part of coffee, and the reason the tenth cup tastes like the first.

Chosen for the season

We keep a short list of origins and change it as the year turns, rather than carrying everything at once. Fewer options, chosen with more care.

Space & atmosphere

Light, material, and room to breathe.

One long table, and space around it.
A quiet café counter with pastries arranged under a glass dome
A small counter, and only what is fresh.

Oak, plaster and stone, left to age honestly.

The case for the second cup

The first cup is for arriving. The second is for staying — and it is usually the better one.

Why we weigh every dose

Why we weigh every dose

A gram either way changes the cup. A short note on the least glamorous part of good coffee.

Hojicha, and the end of the afternoon

Roasted green tea has a way of closing a day. What we drink once the coffee is finished.
